
Jeton Kelmendi (born 27 November 1978 in Peja, Kosovo) is a Kosovo Albanian academic, poet, playwright, translator, journalist, and political analyst.
He earned a PhD in public administration from South East European University in 2016, with a dissertation on the role of media in EU security political issues, and serves as an assistant professor of political science at AAB College in Pristina, where he teaches in mass communication and related fields.
Kelmendi has authored dozens of works, including poetry collections such as The Century Promises (1999) and political science books like EU Mission in Kosova After Its Independence (2010), alongside over 60 academic publications on topics ranging from media influence in Kosovo to EU regional roles.
His contributions have earned him more than 30 international awards, including Doctor Honoris Causa degrees from institutions in Ukraine, Paraguay, and Moldova, as well as literary prizes such as the Mihai Eminescu International Prize (2016) and the PEN Hungary Award (2024).
Kelmendi holds memberships in organizations like the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Europe and the World Congress of Poets, reflecting his roles in advancing literary and analytical discourse.
